To provide a slide bearing which is suitable for supporting a shaft member inserted into a cylinder member so as to be turnable with respect to the cylinder member.SOLUTION: A slide bearing 1 comprises: an inner case 3 into which a steering shaft 70 is pressure-inserted; an outer case 4 which is pressure-inserted into a head pipe 71; and a center plate 5 which can turn between the inner case 3 and the outer case 4. A bearing surface 52 of the center plate 5 line-contacts with a load transmission face 351 of the inner case 3 whose inside-diameter side end parts are located at the outer case 4 side, and whose outside-diameter side end parts have a protrusive face formed at the inner case 3 side, and having a circular arc axial-direction cross section shape, and a recessed face having a circular arc axial-direction cross section shape. A support face 54 of the center plate 5 line-contacts with a load transmission face 451 of the outer case 4 whose inside-diameter side end parts are located at the outer case 4 side, and whose outside-diameter end parts are formed at the inner case 3 side, and have a recessed face having a circular arc axial-direction cross section shape, and a protrusive face having a circular an axial-direction cross section shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】筒部材に挿通された軸部材を筒部材に対して回動自在に支持するのに好適な滑り軸受を提供する。【解決手段】滑り軸受1は、ステアリングシャフト70が圧入されるインナーケース3と、ヘッドパイプ71に圧入されるアウターケース4と、インナーケース3およびアウターケース4間の回動を実現するセンタープレート5とを備える。センタープレート5の軸受面52は、内径側端部がアウターケース4側に位置し、外径側端部がインナーケース3側に位置する円弧状の軸方向断面形状を有する凸面であり、円弧状の軸方向断面形状を有する凹面であるインナーケース3の荷重伝達面351と線接触する。センタープレート5の支持面54は、内径側端部がアウターケース4側に位置し、外径側端部がインナーケース3側に位置する円弧状の軸方向断面形状を有する凹面であり、円弧状の軸方向断面形状を有する凸面であるアウターケース4の荷重伝達面451と線接触する。【選択図】図3
