To provide a generator for vehicle in which short-circuiting is made hard to occur even in a case where a vehicle C collides.SOLUTION: A generator 1 for vehicle comprises: first terminals 2 which output power generated by the generator 1; and an insulation member 4 insulating peripheries of the first terminal 2 and the first terminal 2. A second terminal 8 is connected to the first terminal 2. The second terminal 8 is provided in a power line 14 for supplying power to a vehicle. The second terminal 8 includes a projection 804 which is provided protrusively toward the insulation member 4. The insulation member 4 includes: a first receiving part 406 for receiving the projection 804 at a position in which the power line 14 and the generator 1 are not overlapped on a surface at the side where the first terminal 2 is disposed; and a second receiving part 408 for receiving the projection 804 at a position in which the power line and the generator are overlapped on a surface at the side where the first terminal 2 is disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
