To provide an emergency stop device capable of inhibiting a temperature rise of a damper.SOLUTION: In an emergency stop device for an elevator having a damper 201A for braking a car in contact with a guide rail arranged in a hoistway of the elevator, the damper 201A is configured to include a melting member 301 for absorbing and melting thermal energy generated by a friction with the guide rail, the damper 201A is formed by a cast iron, the melting member 301 is formed by a first metal having a higher thermal conductivity than that of the cast iron and a lower melt point than that of the cast iron, the damper 201A is formed by a second metal having a higher thermal conductivity than that of the cast iron and a same or higher melt point than that of the cast iron and comprises a lid member 302 to trap the melting member 301, an outer surface of the lid member 302 is arranged to be smooth with a contact surface 304 which is a surface of the damper in contact with the guide rail and an inner surface of the lid member 302 is arranged to be in contact with the melting member 301.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】制動子の温度上昇を抑制することのできる非常止め装置を提供する。【解決手段】エレベーターの昇降路内に配置されたガイドレールと接触して乗りかごを制動する制動子201Aを備えるエレベーター用の非常止め装置であって、制動子201Aは、ガイドレールとの摩擦により発生する熱エネルギーを吸収して融解する融解部材301を含んで構成されるようにし、制動子201Aは、鋳鉄で形成され、融解部材301は、熱伝導率が鋳鉄より高く、かつ、融点が鋳鉄より低い第1の金属で形成され、制動子201Aは、熱伝導率が鋳鉄より高く、かつ、融点が鋳鉄と同等以上の第2の金属で形成され、融解部材301をとじ込めるための蓋部材302を備え、蓋部材302の外側の面は、ガイドレールと接する制動子の面である接触面304と平滑となるように設けられ、蓋部材302の内側の面は、融解部材301と接しているようにした。【選択図】図3
