To provide a driving force control device capable of generating an appropriate driving torque and traveling through a place where resistance is relatively large such as a step.SOLUTION: A driving force control device includes a road surface resistance calculation unit 10 capable of calculating the magnitude of each travel resistance on the road surface in the vicinity of the vehicle, and a torque control unit 12 for controlling the driving torque of the driving force source according to the magnitude of the travel resistance calculated by the road surface resistance calculation unit 10. A distance calculation unit 11 is further provided which can calculate the distance between the high resistance portion in which the travel resistance calculated by the road surface resistance calculation unit 10 becomes a predetermined value or more and the wheel. The torque control unit 12 outputs a driving torque capable of traveling through the high resistance portion from the driving force source according to the magnitude of the travel resistance calculated by the road surface resistance calculation unit and the distance between the high resistance portion and the wheel calculated by the distance calculation unit 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
