To provide a swing device capable of suppressing the occurrence of inferior quality of a steel strip K while improving maintainability.SOLUTION: A swing device 30 comprises: a pivot 31 which is rotatably installed outside of a rail 3X in the travelling direction of a loop car 20; an elastic rotary body 32 which is pivotally supported on the pivot 31, pushed against the loop car 20 and rotated; a roll holding member 34 which is rotatably installed outside of the rail 3X in the travelling direction of the loop car 20 and holds one side of a swing roll 11; and a connection member 36 which is installed on the roll holding member 34 and connects the pivot 31 with the roll holding member 34 so that the roll holding member 34 and the swing roll 11 are rotated by the rotation of the pivot 31, wherein the elastic rotary body 32 consists of an airless tire having the approximately same elasticity as an air tire filled with air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
