To provide a bead member capable of inhibiting the projection of the winding start end and the winding termination end of a bead wire, and yet excellent in the adhesiveness between the bead core and the bead filler.SOLUTION: A bead member manufacturing method according to the present invention includes: a bead core forming step of forming a bead wire 6 by coating an outer circumference surface of a metal wire with a topping rubber, and then winding and stacking the bead wire 6 from a winding start end R1 to a winding termination end R2 to form an annular bead core 5; and a bead core heating step of heating only partial regions, which are one or both of the winding start end R1 and the winding termination end R2 of the annular bead core 5, to a temperature at which the topping rubber is fused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ビードワイヤの巻き始め端部や巻き終わり端部の飛び出しを抑制でき、しかもビードコアとビードフィラーとの密着性に優れるビード部材を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のビード部材製造方法は、金属ワイヤの外周面にトッピングゴムを被覆してビードワイヤ6を形成し、ビードワイヤ6を巻き始め端部R1から巻き終わり端部R2まで巻き重ねて円環状のビードコア5を形成するビードコア形成工程と、円環状のビードコア5のうち、巻き始め端部R1と巻き終わり端部R2との一方又は両方の部分領域のみを、前記トッピングゴムが融着する温度になるまで加熱する、ビードコア加熱工程と、を備える。【選択図】図2
