To provide a vehicular secondary battery system allowing for increase of a chance of estimating a deterioration index.SOLUTION: The vehicular secondary battery system comprises: a differential curve calculation unit 10 charging an assembled battery 4 by means of a charge/discharge control unit and calculating a differential curve V-dQ/dV representing a relationship between a battery voltage V of the assembled battery 4 and a differential value dQ/dV, which is a ratio of a variation dQ of a battery capacity Q of the assembled battery 4 to a variation dV of the battery voltage V; a characteristic point identifying unit 15 identifying a characteristic point Pt of the differential curve V-dQ/dV that appears in a predetermined region of the battery voltage V; an SOH estimation unit 16 estimating an SOH of the assembled battery 4 on the basis of a voltage Vt of the characteristic point Pt; and a main controller 2 estimating the SOH by charging the assembled battery 4 after discharging after the assembled battery 4 is discharged to set the battery voltage V below the voltage Vt at the characteristic point Pt when the battery voltage V of the assembled battery 4 is higher than the voltage Vt of the characteristic point Pt when charging the assembled battery 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
