To provide a pneumatic radial tire that can effectively reduce road noise while excellently maintaining durability.SOLUTION: In the pneumatic radial tire, a plurality of belt layers 7 are arranged at an outer periphery side of a carcass layer 4 in a tread part 1, and a belt cover layer 8 including a plurality of organic fiber cords wound around spirally along a tire circumferential direction is arranged at an outer periphery side of the belt layer. For the belt cover layer 8, a polyethylene terephthalate fiber cord is used whose elasticity rate at 44 N loads at 100°C is in a range of 3.5 cN/(tex.%)-5.5 cN/(tex.%), where a thickness of a rubber layer adjacent to the outer periphery side of the belt cover layer 8 is set to a range of 0.1 mm-5.0 mm and the rubber layer is composed of a rubber composition blended with 0.5 pts.mass-10 pts.mass of a terminal carboxyl group reducing agent containing oxazoline group with respect to 100 pts.mass of diene system rubber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】耐久性を良好に維持しながら、ロードノイズを効果的に低減することを可能にした空気入りラジアルタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】トレッド部1におけるカーカス層4の外周側に複数層のベルト層7が配置され、該ベルト層の外周側にタイヤ周方向に沿って螺旋状に巻回された複数本の有機繊維コードを含むベルトカバー層8が配置された空気入りラジアルタイヤにおいて、ベルトカバー層8に100℃での44N負荷時の弾性率が3.5cN/(tex・%)〜5.5cN/(tex・%)の範囲にあるポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維コードを使用し、ベルトカバー層8の外周側に隣接するゴム層の厚さを0.1mm〜5.0mmの範囲に設定し、且つ、当該ゴム層をジエン系ゴム100質量部に対してオキサゾリン基を含む末端カルボキシル基低減剤が0.5質量部〜10質量部配合されたゴム組成物で構成する。【選択図】図1
