To inhibit increase in the number of components and work hours and reduce occurrence of abnormal noise of a motor.SOLUTION: In an electric steering lock device 10, a first bearing part 71 and a second bearing part 75 which receive both end parts of an output shaft 46 of a motor 42 are integrally formed with a cover 70. That is, the first bearing part 71 and the second bearing part 75 are formed as one member. Thus, compared to a case where the first bearing part 71 and the second bearing part 75 are formed as separate members, increase in the number of components can be inhibited and the number of work hours for assembling the first bearing part 71 and the second bearing part 75 to a case 20 can be reduced. Further, the cover 70 is made of a resin. Thus, compared to a case where the cover 70 is made of a metal, abnormal noise such as striking sound generated when the first bearing part 71 and the second bearing part 75 contact with the output shaft 46 can be reduced. The above structure can inhibit increase in the number of components and work hours and reduce abnormal noise of the motor 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】部品点数及び作業工数の増加を抑制しつつモータの異音の発生を低減する。【解決手段】電動ステアリングロック装置10では、モータ42の出力軸46の両端部を受ける第1軸受部71及び第2軸受部75がカバー70に一体に形成されている。すなわち、第1軸受部71及び第2軸受部75が一部材として構成されている。このため、第1軸受部71と第2軸受部75とを、別々の部材に構成した場合と比べて、部品点数の増加を抑制することができると共に、第1軸受部71及び第2軸受部75をケース20に組付けるときの作業工数を低減することができる。また、カバー70は樹脂製とされている。このため、カバー70を金属製にする場合と比べて、第1軸受部71及び第2軸受部75と出力軸46とが当たるときの打音等の異音を低減することができる。以上により、部品点数及び作業工数の増加を抑制しつつモータ42の異音を低減することができる。【選択図】図1
