To provide a home energy management system (HEMS) that can optimally maintain a condition of a drive battery installed in an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: An HEMS 100 capable of charging an electric vehicle includes a power storage battery 20, a home electric appliance 50, and a control device 40 installed in a house 1, and a drive battery 14 and an electronic control unit 12 mounted on the electric vehicle 5. The control device calculates, as an input from a user, a charge amount and a charge time of the driving battery based on a tomorrow departure time and a tomorrow destination of the electric vehicle. The remaining amount of the driving battery before charging is set to half or less of the full charge as an initial value, and the remaining amount is increased by the charged amount in consideration of the charging cost before the departure time, and is further increased by the minimum precharge amount immediately before the departure time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
