To stop external charging appropriately, while restraining early state deterioration of a charging relay, when an abnormality is detected during external charging.SOLUTION: A power reception device comprises a power reception unit for receiving electrical power from a transmission unit, a power storage device, a charging relay provided between the power reception unit and the power storage device, and a control arrangement. When an abnormality is detected during external charging for supplying power from the power reception unit to the power storage device by turning the charging relay on, the control arrangement executes first fail-safe control. The first fail-safe control decreases an output power from the transmission unit below a target value while maintaining the charging relay in an on-state, resets the output power to a target value when the abnormality resolves until a standby time elapses, otherwise switches the charging relay to an off-state thus stopping external charging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】外部充電中に異常が検出された場合に、充電リレーが早期に劣化することを抑制しつつ、外部充電を適切に停止する。【解決手段】受電装置は、送電ユニットからの電力を受ける受電ユニットと、蓄電装置と、受電ユニットと蓄電装置との間に設けられる充電リレーと、制御装置とを備える。制御装置は、充電リレーをオン状態にして受電ユニットから蓄電装置に電力を供給する外部充電中に異常が検出された場合に、第1フェールセーフ制御を実行する。第1フェールセーフ制御は、充電リレーをオン状態に維持しつつ送電ユニットの出力電力を目標値よりも低くし、待機時間が経過するまでに異常が解消した場合には出力電力を目標値に復帰させ、待機時間が経過するまでに異常が解消しない場合には充電リレーをオフ状態に切り替えて外部充電を停止する、制御である。【選択図】図7
