To provide a buffer stopper capable of setting a large reception energy amount and improving durability of a rubber elastic body.SOLUTION: A buffer stopper 1 includes: a rubber elastic body 11 formed into the cylindrical shape, and mounted in a mounting space 71 surrounded at three sides by an end surface 52 of a movable member 51, an end surface 62 of a stationary member 61 opposed to the end surface 52, and an outer peripheral wall 63 of the stationary member 61; a movable member-side metal fitting 21 mounted on an end portion at one side of the rubber elastic body 11; a stationary member-side metal fitting 31 mounted on an end portion at the other side of the rubber elastic body 11; and a hole portion 41 opened on a stationary member-side end surface of the buffer stopper 1, and provided on the rubber elastic body 11 and the stationary member-side metal fitting 31 in a manner of penetrating through the stationary member-side metal fitting 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
