To provide a method for controlling an exhaust temperature of an anti-icing system.SOLUTION: An airflow disruptor 34 for a gas turbine engine bleed air exhaust port 28 includes a disruptor plate 36 rotatably mounted upstream from an exhaust port 28 of an exhaust duct 26. An actuator is coupled to the disruptor plate 36 and adapted to rotate the disruptor plate 36 into an external airflow 29 responsive to a temperature of an exhaust flow 31 in the exhaust port 28 whereby the external airflow 29 becomes a turbulent flow upstream of the exhaust port 28. Due to this, the exhaust flow 31 is cooled before acting on the rear surface of the exhaust port 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
