To provide a battery cooling control device that is able to achieve both restriction of battery deterioration and an increase in EV range in an electric vehicle having an engine and a motor.SOLUTION: A battery cooling control device has an ECU 11 that is capable of switching a travel mode for a vehicle 1 between EV travel in which the vehicle 1 travels by actuation of a motor generator 12 and HEV travel in which the vehicle 1 travels by actuation of the motor generator 12 and an engine 14, and that, based on a detection result from a BMU 16, outputs a cooling start command when a temperature of a battery 14 reaches a preset cooling start temperature whereas outputs a cooling stop command when the temperature of the battery 14 reaches a preset cooling stop temperature. The ECU 11 changes the values of the cooling start temperature and the cooling stop temperature according to whether the travel mode is the EV travel or the HEV travel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】エンジン及びモータを有する電動車両において、バッテリ劣化の抑制とEV航続距離の増加とを両立することを可能とする電池冷却制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両1の走行モードを、モータジェネレータ12を作動させて車両1が走行するEV走行と、モータジェネレータ12及びエンジン14を作動させて車両1が走行するHEV走行とに切り替え可能であるとともに、BMU16の検出結果に基づき、バッテリ14の温度が予め設定した冷却開始温度となると冷却開始指令を出力し、バッテリ14の温度が予め設定した冷却停止温度となると冷却停止指令を出力するECU11を備え、ECU11は、EV走行の場合とHEV走行の場合とで、冷却開始温度及び冷却停止温度の値を変更する。【選択図】図1
