To allow an on-vehicle device or an office PC to make a correct detection and an automatic evaluation of abnormal driving behavior such as tailgating by a driver of an own vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device such as a digital tachograph measures an inter-vehicle distance between an own vehicle to be monitored and a vehicle traveling ahead, and compares time leeway according to the inter-vehicle distance with a threshold to determine whether there is an abnormal approach. A meandering state is grasped from a time-series change of a traveling track of the own vehicle on the basis of a lateral positional relationship between a white line on a road and the own vehicle. Statistics representing the meandering state are learned when there is no abnormal approach. In the case of the abnormal approach, the difference between the latest statistics indicating the meandering state and the learned statistics is grasped to determine whether or not the abnormal approach is due to tailgating. Meandering amplitude, frequency, variance, and the like are used as statistics. Determination is also made using information on operating a turn signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】自車両の運転者による煽り運転のような異常な運転行為を、車載器や事務所PCが正しく検出し自動的な評価を可能にすること。【解決手段】デジタルタコグラフ等の車載器が、監視対象となる自車両とその前方を走行している他車両との車間距離を計測し、車間距離に応じた時間の余裕を閾値と比較して異常接近の有無を判定する。道路上の白線と自車両との横方向の位置関係に基づいて自車両の走行軌跡の時系列変化から蛇行状態を把握する。異常接近でない時に、蛇行状態を表す統計量を学習しておく。異常接近の場合には、蛇行状態を表す最新の統計量と学習した統計量との違いの大きさを把握して、煽り運転か否かを判定する。統計量として、蛇行の振幅、周波数、分散値などを用いる。ウインカー操作の情報も利用して判定する。【選択図】図5
