To reduce risks that a feeling of strangeness may be given to an occupant in a vehicle by reducing frequencies at which operation sound is generated in a piston of a slave cylinder.SOLUTION: The vehicular braking system comprises: first and second master cut valves 60a and 60b, normally-closed valves which cut off a liquid flow path between a master cylinder 34 and a slave cylinder 16, in which liquid pressure at the slave cylinder 16 side and at a vehicle behaviour stabilizer 18 side acts in a closing direction of the valves; a pressure sensor Ph that detects the liquid pressure at the vehicle behaviour stabilizer 18 side; and a piston control part that when detection by the pressure sensor Ph shows that holding pressure at the vehicle behaviour stabilizer 18 side exceeds a prescribed value, performs control by which first and second slave pistons 77a and 77b of the slave cylinder 16 are advanced and returned at predetermined timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
