To provide a sound absorbing material that has excellent sound absorbency in all of a low frequency region, a middle frequency region, a high frequency region, and an ultra high frequency region.SOLUTION: A laminate sound absorbing material has: a porous layer that is composed of a fiber layer or a microporous film and has an average flow rate pore size of 0.1-30 μm and a basis weight of 0.1-200 g/m; and a substrate layer with an average sound transmission loss at 1000-12500 Hz being 2 dB or more, the porous layer being disposed to be on the sound transmission side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
