To accurately detect the occurrence of an elevator abnormality and to estimate a cause of the abnormality irrespective of a traveling mode of an elevator.SOLUTION: The elevator maintenance and inspection system comprises: a torque calculation unit 151 that calculates a torque command value of torque to be applied to a motor 103 by using a mounted load, a motor current, the position and the speed of a car, and a torque limit value stored in a storage device; an abnormality presence determination unit 161 that determines whether there is an abnormality in an elevator 100 by using the torque command value and a pre-stored torque threshold value; an abnormality cause estimation unit 162 that estimates an abnormality cause which is a cause of the abnormality by using the mounted load and a load determination value when the abnormality presence determination unit 161 determines that there is an abnormality; and an output unit 163 that outputs the abnormality cause estimated by the abnormality cause estimation unit 162.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
