To provide a system which enables easy and free selection of a shoe fixation position and enables quick and simple release of a shoe from a pedal, and keeps original function of the shoe without obstacle for walking.SOLUTION: In an engagement type bicycle pedal drive mechanism, a fixation device, which shares both merits of a general vehicle and a competitive vehicle and in which in order to solve also a demerit, fixation equipment is newly located between portions other than a shoe sole, namely, shoe inner lateral faces or the like on a line parallel to a pedal drive shaft, thereby enabling engagement between a pedal and the shoe, is new provided. The mechanism transmits rotation drive power of 360 degrees in a pedal rotation direction by strong engagement or friction, and in addition, can designate most ideal and safe shoe drive position, and in an emergency, enables detachment of a foot in a moment in an outside direction releasing the shoe from the pedal, and has a structure without any obstacle for walking after getting-off since there is no any equipment on the shoe sole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】靴の固定位置が安易かつ自由に選択可能とし、迅速、単純にペダルから解放可能とし、歩行するのに障害のない靴本来の機能を保つシステムを提供する。【解決手段】一般車両と競技用車両の両方の長所を共有し、短所も解決するために、靴底以外の部分、すなわちペダル駆動軸に平行な線上である靴の内横面などの間に固定装備を新設置してペダルと靴が係合できる固定装置を新設した。ペダル回転方向には強い係合、あるいは摩擦などで360度の回転駆動力を伝え、加えてもっとも理想的かつ安全な靴駆動位置を指定可能であり、緊急時は靴をペダルから解放する外側方向には、一瞬で足の離脱を可能とし、靴底には何の装備も設置しないため、降車後の歩行には何の障害もない構造とする。【選択図】図2
