To provide a gazing object detection device capable of detecting an object at which a driver is gazing even when detection accuracy in a visual line direction is not sufficient.SOLUTION: A gazing object detection device 1 includes: a periphery monitoring sensor 10 for detecting an object existing in the periphery of a vehicle; an in-vehicle camera 20 for imaging a driver; and an arithmetic processing section 21 for obtaining an object at which a driver is gazing on the basis of a visual line direction of a driver obtained on the basis of an image captured by the in-vehicle camera 20 and a distance or a relative speed between each object and an own vehicle detected by the periphery monitoring sensor 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
