To provide a train automatic operation system for improving riding comfort and improving energy efficiency by preventing a subsequent train from being stopped by ATC control in the middle of traveling because the preceding train stops long at the next station.SOLUTION: A train automatic operation system includes an on-vehicle device for causing a train to travel according to a travel pattern, and an ATC ground device 16 for transmitting on-rail position information of a preceding train to a subsequent train. The on-vehicle device clocks a staying time of the same block of the preceding train on the basis of the on-rail position information of the preceding train received form the ATC ground device 16, and generates a travel pattern of a speed different from a speed of a travel pattern to be referenced within a range that does not exceed a speed checking pattern of the ATC in accordance with the staying time when it is determined that an own train position reaches a position in front of a stop point by a predetermined distance. An on-vehicle automatic operation control device controls a traveling drive device and a brake device so as to travel at a speed according to a travel pattern with which a train speed is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】先行列車が次駅に長く停車していることで後続列車が走行途中でATC制御によって停止してしまうのを回避し、乗り心地の改善やエネルギ効率の向上を図る列車自動運転システムを提供する。【解決手段】列車自動運転システムは、走行パターンに従って列車を走行させる車上装置と、先行列車の在線位置情報を後続の列車へ送信するATC地上装置16とを備える。車上装置は、ATC地上装置16から受信した先行列車の在線位置情報に基づいて先行列車の同一ブロックの滞在時間を計時し、自列車位置が停止点よりも所定の距離だけ手前の位置に到達したと判断すると、滞在時間に応じてATCの速度照査パターンを越えない範囲内で、基準となる走行パターンの速度と異なる速度の走行パターンを生成する。車上の自動運転制御装置は、列車速度が生成された走行パターンに従った速度で走行するよう、走行駆動装置およびブレーキ装置を制御する。【選択図】図2
