To prevent rain water, etc., wiped by a wiper from being scattered toward a vehicle side by a wind produced by running of a vehicle and to prevent spoiling of the appearance of the peripheral edge of a windshield.SOLUTION: A windshield peripheral edge structure for a vehicle comprises: a windshield fixing portion S formed in a body of the vehicle and in which the rear side of the peripheral edge of the windshield 20 is fixed over the entire circumference thereof; and a rain garter 40. The rain garter 40 comprises: a body portion 43 covering the surface of the windshield 20 in contact with it; and an eave-like portion 45 covering the surface of the windshield 20 with an empty space left therefrom. The portion of the empty space composes a rain passage 46 for guiding rain downward. The rain passage 46 communicates with a space on the rear side of the windshield 20 on the circumferential outside of a rubber-based adhesive 20s via a communication path T. The space on the rear side of the windshield 20 communicates with a space leading to a road surface on the inside of the designed surface of the body by means of a drain channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】ワイパーにより払拭された雨水等が車両走行風により車両側面に飛散しない構成にするとともに、フロントガラスの周縁の見栄えが低下しないようにすることである。【解決手段】車両のボディに形成されており、フロントガラス20の周縁裏側が全周に亘って固着されるフロントガラス固定部Sと、レインガーター40とを備える車両のフロントガラス周縁構造であって、レインガーター40は、接触状態でフロントガラス20の表面を覆う本体部43と、隙間を介した状態でフロントガラス20の表面を覆う庇状部45とを備え、隙間の部分が雨水を下方に導く雨水流路46を構成しており、雨水流路46は、ゴム系接着剤20sの周方向外側にあるフロントガラス20の裏側空間と連通路Tを介して連通しており、フロントガラス20の裏側空間が排水路により前記ボディの意匠面の内側で路面につながる空間と連通している。【選択図】図5
