In the molding process, the pillar garnish body part 21, which covers a stem 22 having a large opening and a first small opening 24 with a skin 35 from at least a front side, is integrally molded by use of a metal mold 60. At this time, the skin 35 is located in the mold-opened metal mold 60, at least a part of a first closing part 36 of the skin 35 excluding the first small opening 24 is pressed by the metal mold 60, thereby forming a first fragile part 37. 【課題】内装本体部の成形後、取付部の取り付け前に別工程で、小開口を塞いでいる閉塞部を打ち抜く場合よりも高い精度で、同閉塞部を取付部の通過可能な状態にする。【解決手段】ピラーガーニッシュ本体部(内装本体部)21にスピーカガーニッシュ(装飾部材)を組み付けてなるピラーガーニッシュ(車両用内装部材)の製造方法は、成形工程及び取付工程を備える。成形工程では、大開口及び第1小開口24を有する基部22を少なくとも表側から表皮35で被覆するピラーガーニッシュ本体部21を、金型60を用いて一体に成形する。この際、型開きされた金型60内に表皮35を配置し、型締めに際し、表皮35のうち第1小開口24を塞ぐ第1閉塞部36の少なくとも一部を、同金型60で押圧することで第1脆弱部37を形成する。取付工程では、第1閉塞部36をスピーカガーニッシュのリブ(取付部)で押圧し、第1脆弱部37において開裂させる。【選択図】図6
