To provide a structure by which an impact absorbing device favorably absorbs collision energy even when the offset amount between vehicles at the time of collision is large.SOLUTION: The impact transmission structure for the impact absorbing device of a railway vehicle includes a first member provided at an end part on one side in a vehicle longitudinal direction of a first vehicle and a second member provided at an end part on the other side in a vehicle longitudinal direction of a second vehicle. One of the first member and the second member is a protruding member. The other of the first member and the second member is a recessed member. A facing surface on one side in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the protruding member has an approximately V-like shape protruding toward one side in the vehicle longitudinal direction. A facing surface on the other side in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the recessed member has an approximately V-like shape recessed toward one side in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
