To provide a motor unit and an electric bicycle that are able to suppress a size increase while enabling generation of assist force and auxiliary driving force.SOLUTION: A motor unit 20 used in an electric bicycle 1 comprises: a case 22 penetrated by a crank shaft 7a; a motor 21 accommodated in the case 22; a deceleration mechanism 25 that decelerates and transmits a first rotation, in a positive direction, of the motor 21; an interlocking body 29 (a first output unit) at least a part of which is disposed in the case 22 and by which auxiliary drive force based on the first rotation transmitted by the deceleration mechanism 25 is output; and a second output unit 60 at least a part of which is disposed in the case 22 and by which auxiliary driving force based on a second rotation, in a negative direction, of the motor 21 is output to an external part of the case 22. The second output unit 60 is located so as to be accommodated between crank arms 7b in a pair.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
