To provide a technology that does not use a throttle valve having a butterfly valve in an intake system of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An intake system of an internal combustion engine which is mounted on a vehicle and generates electric power used in the vehicle includes: a valve gear 14 including a shaft 34 which moves forward or rearward in an axial direction and a valve body 32 which is attached to the shaft 34 and moves in the axial direction in conjunction with forward and rearward movement of the shaft 34; a first intake passage 24a which communicates with the internal combustion engine and is opened or closed by movement of the valve body 32; and a second intake passage 26a which communicates with the internal combustion engine and is opened regardless of the movement of the valve body 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
