To solve the problem in that a handrail may be delayed with respect to a footstep surface at the timing when handrail driving force larger than driving force of the traveling handrail is required.SOLUTION: The handrail driving force diagnostic device 19 includes a footstep speed detection unit 20 for detecting the footstep speed, a handrail speed detection unit 21 for detecting the handrail speed, a drive acceleration setting unit 25 for setting second acceleration normally driving a driving motor 2 in an operation direction, which is larger than first acceleration, to a control device 5 as the acceleration set for the control device, and a diagnostic unit for diagnosing that the driving force of a handrail 15 is normal in the case where a period required until the footstep speed is synchronized with the handrail speed from the time point when the driving motor 2 is driven at the second acceleration, which is set to the control device 5, is less than a control value and diagnosing that the driving force of the handrail 15 is abnormal in the case where it exceeds the control value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】走行中のハンドレール駆動力より大きなハンドレール駆動力を必要とするタイミングでは、踏段面に対しハンドレールが遅れてしまう可能性があった。【解決手段】ハンドレール駆動力診断装置19は、踏段速度を検出する踏段速度検出部20と、ハンドレール速度を検出するハンドレール速度検出部21と、制御装置5に設定する加速度として、駆動モーター2を運転方向に通常駆動させる第1加速度よりも大きい第2加速度を制御装置に設定する駆動加速度設定部25と、制御装置5に設定された第2加速度で駆動モーター2が駆動した時点から踏段速度とハンドレール速度とが同期するまでに要する時間が管理値以下であればハンドレール15の駆動力を正常と診断し、管理値を超えていればハンドレール15の駆動力を異常と診断する、を備える。【選択図】図4
