To provide a trunk receiving device whose shape of an end face in a rail direction of a railway vehicle can have an improved degree-of-freedom while suppressing a weight loaded by a coupler.SOLUTION: A trunk receiving device which supports a trunk of a coupler fitted to a body structure of a railway vehicle in a way that the coupler can fluctuate around two respective fluctuation axles in a vertical or sleeper direction, and is fitted to the body structure, comprises: a bearing member installed so as to extend in the sleeper direction and supporting the trunk from the underside; a transverse beam arranged in a fluctuation axle side of the bearing member; a trunk receiving connection part connecting the transverse beam and the bearing member; and an elastic support part elastically supporting the transverse beam in a way that the beam can move up and down to the body structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
