To provide a pinch detection switch that is easy to assemble and capable of appropriately detecting pinching.SOLUTION: A pinch detection switch 2 includes: a pressure-sensitive structure 3 having at least one linear pressure-sensitive member 31 in which a plurality of conductor wires 312 are arranged inside a tube 311 so as to be separated from each other; and a cylindrical cover member 4 attached to an end portion on the front side in a moving direction of a slide door 11 and formed with a hollow portion 40 that accommodates the pressure-sensitive structure 3. The pressure-sensitive structure 3 includes a coated member 32 which covers the linear pressure-sensitive member 31 and in which both ends 321, 321 in the width direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the slide door 11 and the extending direction of the cover member 4 face an inner surface 40a of the hollow portion 40, and the position in the width direction of the coated member 32 in the hollow portion 40 of the linear pressure-sensitive member 31 is defined by the coated member 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
