To provide a four-wheel drive vehicle which can smoothly switch an engagement-type clutch to an engagement state from a non-engagement state even if a speed difference exists between wheels at traveling.SOLUTION: When switching a first engagement-type clutch 24 to an engagement state from a non-engagement state, a rear wheel 16L or a rear wheel 16R in which a rotational speed difference Vs between first engagement teeth 50a of a first movable sleeve 50 and first engagement teeth 42c of a first ring gear 42 falls within a switchable region Sok can be connected to a center axle 98 by a left control cup spring 34L or a right control cup spring 34R, and thereby the rotational speed difference Vs falls within the switchable region Sok when causing the first engagement teeth 50a and the first engagement teeth 42c to be engaged with each other. By this constitution, even if the speed difference exists between the wheels at traveling, the first engagement-type clutch 24 can be smoothly switched to the engagement state from the non-engagement state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】走行時に車輪間に速度差がある場合であっても噛合式クラッチを非噛合状態から噛合状態に円滑に切り替えることができる4輪駆動車両を提供する。【解決手段】第1噛合式クラッチ24を非噛合状態から噛合状態に切り替える時には、第1可動スリーブ50の第1噛合歯50aと第1リングギヤ42の第1噛合歯42cとの回転速度差Vsが切替可能領域Sok内となる後輪16Lまたは後輪16Rを左制御カップリング34Lまたは右制御カップリング34Rによって中央車軸98に連結することができるので、第1噛合歯50aと第1噛合歯42cとを噛み合わせる時に回転速度差Vsが切替可能領域Sok内になる。これにより、走行時に車輪間に速度差がある時であっても第1噛合式クラッチ24を非噛合状態から噛合状態に円滑に切り替えることができる。【選択図】図7
