To provide an automatic brake device capable of suppressing deviation (deflection amount) in a right and left direction of a vehicle when an automatic brake is operated.SOLUTION: An automatic brake device determines a collision possibility with an obstacle and operates an automatic brake. The automatic brake device includes: a vehicle speed detection section 412 which detects vehicle speed; an operation speed setting section 415 which sets operation speed to be upper limit speed for operating the automatic brake; a brake instruction section 416 which instructs a brake device 51 for giving brake force to a vehicle 11 to operate the automatic brake when a collision possibility is high and vehicle speed is the operation speed or less; and an inclination detection section 414 which detects inclination of rotation direction (roll direction) around a shaft orthogonal to a yaw shaft of the vehicle 11. The operation speed setting section 415 sets the operation speed according to the inclination in the roll direction of the vehicle 11 detected by the inclination detection section 414.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
