To provide an elevator capable of performing pour water control operation by detection even when it is a small amount of water.SOLUTION: An elevator 10 of the present invention comprises a shaft 20 that connects boarding places 21, a cage 30 that runs the shaft, a cage control device 41 that controls the cage, and an elevator control device 40 that controls running of the cage, in which the cage comprises cage top water droplet detecting means 50 that is arranged on an upper surface of a top board 32, detects water droplet adhered to the top board, and sends pour water to the cage control device, and the cage control device sends a pour water signal to the elevator control device once the pour water detecting means detects pour water, and the elevator control device performs pour water control operation of the cage upon receiving the pour water signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
