To provide an airbag device for pedestrians which can efficiently prevent water immersion of important portions.SOLUTION: An airbag device 100 for pedestrians according to the invention includes: a main box 124 which is installed on a lower surface 106 of an engine hood 104 of a vehicle 102, has a box shape, and is elongated in a vehicle width direction; a cushion 112 which is housed in the main box 124 and utilizes a gas to inflate and expand to the windshield 114 side; and a rain hood 134 which is installed over a vehicle width direction of the main box 124 and extends downward from the lower surface 106 of the engine hood 104 at the vehicle rear side of at least the main box 124 on the lower surface 106 of the engine hood 104.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
