To appropriately control the load of a force limiter unit in the event that small collision arises in the beginning of collision.SOLUTION: A seat belt retractor device is provided with: a pretensioner unit that improves tension by winding a seat belt; and a force limiter unit capable of changing the magnitude of load for starting a decrease of tension of the seat belt wound by the pretensioner unit. If a deceleration G detected by a floor sensor 14 exceeds a first threshold Gth1, the seat belt control ECU 24 activates the pretensioner unit, acquires a collision speed from the radar device 18, sets a second threshold Gth2 such that the value becomes smaller as the collision speed becomes higher. The seat belt control ECU exerts control such that tension decrease initiation load for the force limiter is high if the deceleration G exceeds a second threshold Gth2 within a determination time after the actuation of the pretensioner unit, and it is low if the deceleration G does not exceed the second threshold Gth2 within the determination time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】衝突初期の衝撃が小さい衝突が発生した場合にフォースリミッタ部の荷重を適正に制御する。【解決手段】シートベルトリトラクタ装置には、シートベルトを巻き取って張力を高めるプリテンショナ部と、プリテンショナ部により巻き取られたシートベルトの張力軽減を開始する荷重の大きさを変更可能なフォースリミッタ部が設けられている。シートベルト制御ECU24は、フロアセンサ14によって検出された減速度Gが第1の閾値Gth1を超えた場合にプリテンショナ部を作動させ、レーダ装置18から衝突速度を取得し、衝突速度が大きくなるに従って値が小さくなるように第2の閾値Gth2を設定し、フォースリミッタ部の張力軽減開始荷重を、プリテンショナ部の作動後の判定時間範囲内に減速度Gが第2の閾値Gth2を超えた場合は高荷重に、判定時間範囲に減速度Gが第2の閾値Gth2を超えない場合は低荷重に制御する。【選択図】図1
