To provide a light-weight and inexpensive transmission mechanism for a bicycle, which prevents an occupant from wrongly operating a handle and which is easily operated and easily manufactured.SOLUTION: A driven side rotary body 2 includes a pair of driven disks 61 movable close to or separated from each other to radially move a winding position of an endless belt 4. The driven disks 61 are biased by a first coil spring 7 so as to be separated from each other. When a disk body 6 rotates in a normal direction, pawl members 66 are engaged with tooth portions 5a of a gear body 5 to allow the gear body 5 to integrally rotate with the disk body 6. Meanwhile, when the disk body 6 rotates in a reverse direction, the pawl members 66 move over the tooth portions 5a of the gear body 5 to allow the disk body 6 to rotate relative to the gear body 5. Annular inclined surfaces 51a smoothly and continuously extending in a circumferential direction about a rotation axis R1 while being displaced in a direction along the rotation axis R1 are formed on the gear body 5. The pawl members 66 are slidably pressed against the annular inclined surfaces 51a by biasing force of the first coil spring 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】乗員がハンドル操作を誤ることがなくなり、操作が簡単であるとともに製作がし易く、さらには、軽量で、且つ、低コストな自転車用変速機構を提供する。【解決手段】従動側回転体2は、接近離間動作で無端状ベルト4の巻き掛ける位置が径方向に沿って移動するよう構成された一対の従動ディスク61を有す。第1コイルバネ7は両従動ディスク61を離間させるよう付勢する。爪部材66は、ディスク体6が正転する際には歯車体5の歯部5aに係合して歯車体5をディスク体6と一体に回転させる一方、ディスク体6が逆転する際には歯車体5の歯部5aを乗り越えて歯車体5に対してディスク体6を相対的に回転させる。歯車体5には、回転軸心R1に沿う方向に変位しながら回転軸心R1周りの周方向に滑らかに連続的に延びる環状傾斜面51aが形成され、環状傾斜面51aには、爪部材66が第1コイルバネ7の付勢力によって摺接可能に押し付けられる。【選択図】図3
