To provide a shearing pin that is fractured accurately when force exceeding a predetermined threshold occurs, and a method for installing the shearing pin.SOLUTION: After a substantially cylindrical shearing pin 1 is inserted into a through hole 11 formed in each of a moving side member 10a and a stationary side member 10b arranged adjacent to each other, the movement of the shearing pin 1 is restrained by a restraint mechanism 3 in a radial direction orthogonal to an axial direction y of the shearing pin 1. The restraint mechanism 3 comprises: a contact member 6 arranged on the peripheral surface of the shearing pin 1, and configured to be movable between a contact position of contacting with the inner peripheral surface of the through hole 11 and a separation position of separating from the inner peripheral surface; and a moving member 7 configured to move the contact member 6 between the contact position and the separation position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】所定の閾値を超える力が発生したときに精度よく破断するせん断ピンおよびせん断ピンの設置方法を提供する。【解決手段】隣接して配置される移動側の部材10aと固定側の部材10bとにそれぞれ形成される貫通孔11に略円柱形状のせん断ピン1を挿入した後に、せん断ピン1の軸方向yに直交する半径方向においてせん断ピン1の移動を拘束機構3により拘束する。拘束機構3は、せん断ピン1の周面に配置されていて貫通孔11の内周面に接触する接触位置と内周面から離間する離間位置とに移動可能に構成される接触部材6と、この接触部材6を接触位置と離間位置との間で移動させる移動部材7とを備えている。【選択図】図1
