To attach the upper end side of an upper boot (a boot member) to a cylindrical member with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A gearshift device includes: a shift lever 10 which is inserted into an opening 3 of a floor panel 2 from a transmission side below the floor panel 2 and protrudes to the vehicle cabin side above the floor panel 2; a cylindrical member 35 which is inserted into a portion of the shift lever 10, which is located above the floor panel 2, in a manner that the cylindrical member 35 can relatively move in an axial direction; a boot member 50 which has a through hole 54B at the upper end side and causes the cylindrical member 35 to be inserted into the through hole 54B to cover a gap between the opening 3 and the cylindrical member 35; an engagement part 36 which is provided at an outer cylinder part of the cylindrical member 35 and has at least an upper surface part; and an engaged part 54A which is provided at an inner periphery part of the through hole 54B and has a lower surface part which is placed in contact with at least the upper surface part to be supported thereby.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
