To suppress reduction of a form accuracy of a component due to peen molding.SOLUTION: A molding condition setting method has: a division step at which a surface of a component is divided into plural areas; a provisional molding condition setting step at which a predetermined provisional molding condition is decided for each area; a deformation volume calculation step at which a calculated deformation volume, which is a calculated value of a deformation volume of the component in the area when performing peen molding of each area under the preliminary molding condition, is calculated for each area; a relationship information calculation step at which based on a calculated deformation volume in one area, the preliminary molding condition for said area, and the preliminary molding condition for at least one of other areas other than said area, relationship information, such that the peen molding condition for said area and the peen molding condition for the other area is a degree of influence affecting on the deformation volume of said area, is calculated for each area; and a molding condition setting step at which the peen molding condition for said area and the peen molding condition for the other area in order that the areas become a target deformation volume are set based on relationship information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
