A charge state estimation unit 35 is capable of estimating a remaining battery capacity SOC. A remaining capacity control unit 36 is capable of controlling the remaining battery capacity SOC so that the remaining battery capacity SOC is in the range from a first remaining capacity threshold to a second remaining capacity threshold (SOC_th2). A battery temperature detection unit 37 is capable of detecting a battery temperature Tb. A battery temperature control unit 39 is capable of controlling the battery temperature Tb so that the battery temperature Tb is in the range from a first temperature threshold to a second temperature threshold. A degradation determination unit 40 determines the degradation of a battery 22 when the battery temperature Tb is in the range from the first temperature threshold to the second temperature threshold and the remaining battery capacity SOC is in the range from the first remaining capacity threshold to the second remaining capacity threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
