To provide a method of estimating a congestive situation akin to an actual situation on each road.SOLUTION: In a server 20, road division means 220 divides a road (road data) in units of a certain length. Each of road pieces resulting from the division is treated as a unit road that is a processing unit for congestion analysis. Base number-of-people calculation means 230 calculates a base number of people (maximum number of people to be accommodated) per a unit road. In a portable terminal device 10, degree-of-congestion estimation means 110 estimates a degree of congestion at a user's current position on the basis of information on an acceleration. Degree-of-congestion data is transmitted to the server 20. In the server 20, average degree-of-congestion calculation means 250 obtains an average degree of congestion for each advancing direction in relation to each unit road on the basis of the degree-of-congestion data items aggregated for each unit road by data aggregation means 240. Estimated number-of-people calculation means 270 calculates an estimated number of people for each unit road on the basis of the information on the average degree of congestion and the information on the base number of people.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】各道路における実際の状況に近い混雑状況を推定する方法を提供する。【解決手段】サーバ20において、道路分割手段220は、道路(道路データ)を一定の長さで分割する。その分割によって得られた道路片は、混雑分析の際の処理単位である単位道路として扱われる。ベース人数算出手段230は、単位道路毎のベース人数(最大収容人数)を算出する。携帯端末装置10では、混雑度推定手段110が加速度の情報に基づきユーザーの現在位置の混雑度を推定する。混雑度データはサーバ20に送信される。そして、サーバ20において、平均混雑度算出手段250は、データ集約手段240によって単位道路毎に集約された混雑度データに基づき、各単位道路について進行方向別に平均混雑度を求める。また、推定人数算出手段270は、平均混雑度の情報とベース人数の情報とに基づき、単位道路毎の推定人数を算出する。【選択図】図4
