To obtain a rocker structure that makes it possible to increase an amount of absorbed collision-energy while restricting an increase of weight.SOLUTION: In a lower closed cross-section 32 of a rocker 10, a lateral plate 36 is stretched in a vehicle width direction between an external wall 18 and a lower internal wall 26. The lateral plate 36 has a projection 38 and recess 40 that continuously alternate in the vehicle width direction. When a side collision load is input to the rocker 10 in the event of side collision of the vehicle, the lateral plate 36 deforms using the projection 38 and the recess 40 as an initial point of buckling deformation. Furthermore, in the lateral plate 36, the amplitudes of the projection 38 and the recess 40 are set so as to gradually decrease from the external wall 18 side of the rocker 10 toward the lower internal wall 26 side, thereby making it possible to increase an amount of absorbed collision-energy without increasing the thickness of the lateral plate 36. That is, in the rocker 10, the amount of absorbed collision-energy can be increased while an increase of weight is restricted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】重量の増加を抑制しつつ、衝突エネルギの吸収量を増加させることが可能となるロッカ構造を得る。【解決手段】ロッカ10の下部閉断面部32内において、外側壁18と下部内側壁26の間に横板36が車両幅方向に沿って架け渡され、横板36には凸部38と凹部40が車両幅方向に沿って連続して交互に形成されており、車両の側突時に、ロッカ10に側突荷重が入力されると、横板36は凸部38及び凹部40が座屈変形の起点となって変形する。さらに、横板36において、ロッカ10の外側壁18側から下部内側壁26側へ向かうにつれて凸部38と凹部40の振幅が徐々に小さくなるように設定されることにより、横板36の板厚を厚くすることなく、衝突エネルギの吸収量を増加させることが可能となる。つまり、当該ロッカ10では、重量の増加を抑制しつつ、衝突エネルギの吸収量を増加させることができる。【選択図】図2
