To provide a technique capable of properly executing a vehicle stability control by considering a tire kind and a road surface state.SOLUTION: A vehicle stability control device comprises a tire coefficient calculation part, a tire kind determination part, a road surface state determination part and a vehicle stability control part. The tire coefficient calculation part calculates a ratio of vehicle acceleration to a slip ratio of the tire attached to the vehicle, and calculates the average value of the ratio as a tire coefficient. The tire kind determination part determines a tire kind based on a state of the tire coefficient in a long term. The road surface state determination part determines a road surface state based on variation of a tire coefficient in a short term. When the tire kind is a studless tire, and the road surface state is a low μ state, the vehicle stability control part lowers an actuation threshold of the vehicle stability control compared with when the road surface state is a high μ state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】タイヤ種類と路面状態を考慮して、車両安定制御を適切に実施することができる技術を提供する。【解決手段】車両安定制御装置は、タイヤ係数算出部と、タイヤ種類判断部と、路面状態判断部と、車両安定制御部とを備える。タイヤ係数算出部は、車両に装着されているタイヤのスリップ比に対する車両加速度の比率を算出し、当該比率の平均値をタイヤ係数として算出する。タイヤ種類判定部は、長期間のタイヤ係数の状況に基づいて、タイヤ種類を判断する。路面状態判断部は、短期間のタイヤ係数の変動に基づいて、路面状態を判断する。タイヤ種類がスタッドレスタイヤであり、且つ、路面状態が低μ状態である期間、車両安定制御部は、路面状態が高μ状態である期間よりも、車両安定制御の作動閾値を低下させる。【選択図】図3
