To improve wear resistance and steering stability without deteriorating low rolling resistance.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for tires contains: a rubber component containing a styrene-butadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature of -70 to -20°C; silica; and an ether ester represented by general formula (1). In the formula, Rand Reach represent a C8-30 hydrocarbon group; Rrepresents a C1-30 hydrocarbon group; Rand Reach represent a C2-4 alkylene group; a and b each represent an average addition molar number of oxyalkylene groups; and 60 mass% or more of (RO)and (RO)consist of oxyethylene groups. A pneumatic tire is manufactured using the rubber composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】低転がり抵抗性を悪化させることなく耐摩耗性と操縦安定性を改良する。【解決手段】ガラス転移温度が−70〜−20℃のスチレンブタジエンゴムを含むゴム成分、シリカ、及び、下記一般式(1)で表されるエーテルエステル、を含むタイヤ用ゴム組成物である。式中、R1及びR2は炭素数8〜30の炭化水素基、R3は炭素数1〜30の炭化水素基、R4及びR5は炭素数2〜4のアルキレン基、a及びbはオキシアルキレン基の平均付加モル数を表し、(R4O)a及び(R5O)bの60質量%以上がオキシエチレン基からなる。また、該ゴム組成物を用いて作製された空気入りタイヤである。【化1】【選択図】なし
