To provide a refrigeration cycle device for battery cooling that suppresses the retention of oil.SOLUTION: A refrigeration cycle 10 cools a battery. A control device 15 controls the flow rate of a coolant flowing in a battery cooling system 30 so as to adjust the temperature of the battery. The control device 15 adjusts the flow rate of a coolant flowing in the battery cooling system 30 so as to forcibly send the oil retained in the battery cooling system 30 toward a compressor 12. The battery cooling system 30 includes a plurality of parallel systems 31, 32. Electric expansion valves 31b, 32b as flow rate control valves are controlled so as to intermittently provide an oil returning operation. The electric expansion valves 31b, 32b are controlled alternately in order so as to provide the oil returning operation. In the oil returning operation, the flow rate of a coolant flowing in some of the plurality of parallel systems 31, 32 is increased to be greater than the flow rate of a coolant circulated by a temperature control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
