To provide a device capable of confirming safety in a crane work area by implementing disturbance light countermeasures to ensure extraction of an operator without being affected by a crane work environment with a simple facility structure.SOLUTION: This crane work area safety confirmation device is provided with: a camera 21 that images a work area of a crane 01; an infrared ray projector 22 that is provided to a position near the camera 21; a mark 12 that is made of a retroreflective material attached to a helmet 11 of an operator 13; and an arithmetic unit that fetches and processes an image captured by the camera 21. The arithmetic unit controls turning ON/OFF of the infrared ray projector 22, calculates a difference between the ON-time and the OFF-time of fetching of the image of the camera 21 in synchronization with the control, removes the influence of disturbance light by using returning characteristics of light incident on the mark 12 made of the retroreflective material attached to the helmet 11 in a light source direction, transmits coordinates of the operator 13 to a crane controller 30, and ensures the safety of the operator in a crane work area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】簡易な設備構成で、外乱光対策を実施し、クレーンの作業環境に影響されることなく、作業者を確実に抽出することによって、クレーン作業エリアの安全を確認できる装置を提供すること。【解決手段】クレーン01の作業エリアを撮像するカメラ21と、カメラ21の近傍位置に設けた赤外線投光器22と、作業者13のヘルメット11に取り付けた再帰性反射材からなるマーク12と、カメラ21で撮影した画像を取り込んで処理する演算装置とを備え、演算装置が、赤外線投光器22のON/OFFの制御を行い、それに同期してカメラ21の画像の取り込み、ON時とOFF時の差を取り、ヘルメット11に付けられた再帰性反射材からなるマーク12の入射した光の光源方向に戻る特性を利用して、外乱光の影響を除去するようにし、作業者13の座標をクレーンコントローラ30に送信して、クレーンの作業エリアにおける作業者の安全を確保する。【選択図】図1
