To improve temperature estimation accuracy of a stator coil in a case where the stator coil is cooled by using a mechanical pump and an electric pump in a vehicle rotary electric machine temperature estimation system.SOLUTION: A temperature estimation system 12 includes: a cooling unit 25 which cools a stator coil 18; a temperature sensor 39 which measures a temperature of the stator coil; and an actual temperature estimation part 42 which uses a measured temperature of the temperature sensor and a preset temperature correction value to estimate an actual temperature of the stator coil. The cooling unit has: a first cooling part 26 which uses a mechanical pump 27 driven by an engine to cool the stator coil; and a second cooling part 31 which uses an electric pump 32 driven by an electric motor 62 to cool the stator coil. The actual temperature estimation part changes the temperature correction value according to whether or not the electric motor is actuated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
