To provide a cushion connecting rod for a saddle-riding type vehicle in which a fiber composite material and metal can be combined without using special adhesive and an initial damage state of which can be visually checked.SOLUTION: A cushion connecting rod (40), which is a long member to which a load (F) is applied when a swing arm (17) is swung against a resilient force of a rear cushion (15) is configured to cover part of a surface of a metal member (60) with endless fiber-reinforced resin (50). The fiber-reinforced resin (50) is stuck to the surface of the metal member (60) with a film-like adhesive (52). A support part (61) to which the load (F) is applied is provided at either end of the metal member (60) in a longitudinal direction. A recess (C) and a plurality of thickness reduction holes (62, 65, 66) are formed between the support parts (61) of both end part, by which a thickness (T) of the metal member (60) is made less than a thickness (Ta) of each of the support parts (61). The surfaces of the support parts (61) and the recess (C) are covered with the fiber-reinforced resin (50).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】特別な接着剤を用いずに、繊維複合材と金属とを組み合わせると共に初期の破損状態を目視で確認することができる鞍乗型車両のクッションコンロッドを提供する。【解決手段】リヤクッション(15)の弾発力に反してスイングアーム(17)が揺動する際に荷重(F)が加えられる長尺部材であるクッションコンロッド(40)が、金属部材(60)の表面の一部を、無端状をなす繊維強化樹脂(50)で覆った構成とされる。繊維強化樹脂(50)をフィルム状の接着剤(52)で金属部材(60)の表面に接着する。金属部材(60)の長手方向の両端部に荷重(F)が加えられる支持部(61)を設ける。両端部の支持部(61)の間に、金属部材(60)の厚さ寸法(T)が前記支持部(61)の厚さ寸法(Ta)より小さくなる凹部(C)と複数の肉抜き孔(62,65,66)とを形成し、繊維強化樹脂(50)で支持部(61)および凹部(C)の表面を覆う。【選択図】図5
