To provide a water quality management system of a ship capable of accessing to a water quality management compartment provided inside or under a top side tank regardless of the water level of the top side tank, without changing capacity and arrangement of a watertight compartment of the conventional design and without reducing the water capacity of the top side tank, for a ship which naturally discharges water inside the top side tank provided separately from a bottom tank, and to provide the ship and a water quality management method of the ship.SOLUTION: A water quality management compartment 40 where a water quality management apparatus 41 is arranged is provided inside a top side tank 10 or under its bottom part, and a passage compartment where a passage to the water quality management compartment 40 is arranged is formed with its lower portion in the watertight structure and its upper portion in the non-watertight structure, and is composed of semi-watertight compartments 50, 50A, 50B provided inside the top side tank 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
