To solve such a problem that friction of a shaft bearing becomes large by applying preload to the shaft bearing in order to suppress generation of gear rattling noise caused by inversion of a thrust force of helical gears, with respect to the shaft bearing supporting an electric motor, during switching of acceleration and deceleration of the electric motor in an in-wheel motor drive device provided with a gear speed-reduction mechanism.SOLUTION: Skews 42, 64 of rotors 16, 56 in electric motors 12, 52 are formed in a direction where a thrust force of each of input shaft helical gears 28, 68 formed integrally with input shafts 22, 82 in the electric motors 12, 52 is made to be reduced. By this, the thrust force of the input shaft helical gears 28, 68, that is generated in acceleration and deceleration of the electric motors 12, 52 is canceled, and thus there is no need for applying preload to each of shaft bearings b1, b2, b6, b7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】歯車減速機構を備えたインホイールモータ駆動装置の電動モータの加減速の切り替えにおいて、前記電動モータを支持する軸受に、はす歯歯車のスラスト力の反転によるガタ打ち音が生じ、これを抑制するため軸受に与圧を加えている。これによって前記軸受の摩擦が大きくなっている。【解決手段】電動モータ12、52の入力軸22、82と一体に形成されている入力軸はす歯歯車28、68のスラスト力を減少させる方向に、電動モータ12、52のロータ16、56のスキュー42、64を形成する。これによって電動モータ12、52の加減速において生じる入力軸はす歯歯車28、68のスラスト力 が相殺され、軸受b1、b2、b6、b7に与圧を与える必要が生じない。【選択図】図1
