To provide an underwater explorer easily responding to requirements of recording such as a video for as long a term as possible in one exploration activity in deep sea exploration, needs of not only video recording in one direction but observation in all directions, and to an increase in necessity for optical and chemical observation of the deep sea environment and monitoring of mineral resources on the sea bottom.SOLUTION: A coupled underwater explorer is provided by coupling, with a coupling tool, at least one piece of a battery driven type underwater explorer body composed of three pressure proof hollow glass spheres storing a video recorder equipment, an illumination equipment, a recording equipment, an audio communication equipment, and a control equipment for controlling these, and at least one piece of battery body having an approximately identical configuration and structure as the underwater explorer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】深海探査では、一度の探査活動で、可能な限り長期間映像等を記録できることが求められる。また、映像を撮影する場合には、一方向の映像記録だけではなく全方向的観察のニーズがあり、また深海環境の光学的・化学的観測、海底の鉱物資源のモニタリングなどの必要性も増大しているが、現状ではこれら要求に簡便に対応できる水中探査機が存在しない。【解決手段】撮影機器、照明機器、記録機器、音響通信機器及びこれらを制御する制御機器を収納した3つの耐圧中空ガラス球からなるバッテリー駆動型の水中探査機体少なくとも1機と、前記水中探査機体と略同一形状・構造を有する少なくとも1機のバッテリー機体とを、連結具によって連結して、連結水中探査機とする。【選択図】図1
